chart per child OScarwind report

Project Description

On the 9th of October 2015 Muutos for kids, Afro entertainment, CELBMD Africa and AIRLE visited OSCAWIND primary and nursery school Mbveh to donate learning charts to Nursery two children of the school to assist then in the phonetic awareness classes. The team was made up of Wirsiy John Bongkiyii representing Muutos For kids, Javnyuy Joybert representing CELBMD Africa, Patrick representing AIRLE and ST Paul representing Afro entertainment.
The team was welcomed in the head teachers office as they arrived and they had a discussion on the importance of the charts they were to donate on of which was that children learn more when they see can identify what they are taught in the environment around them. The importance of taking great care of the charts was one on the points they stressed on as they said that if the charts are well taken care of it could be used for 10years. The head teacher called the teachers who were to be using these charts with the children to pay attention to what was said by the team and they both promised that the charts will be well taken care of and that they will make sure that they put the charts in to maximum use by the teachers and kids. After the discussion the team visited the Nursery two kids in their class and handed the charts to the kids and encouraged them to use the charts well. We observed that even when we were still there some kids started identifying some images in the charts as some of them could name them in English and in their mother tongue which impressed the team and the teachers as it was great prove of how important the charts were and their impact on the kids. After this the team had pictures with the kids holding the charts and left.
